find your fit

grab a flexible measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler, whatever works). you'll need two measurements.

circumference: wrap the tape around your head, just above your ears and about a finger's width above your eyebrows. that's your number.

ear to ear: run the tape from the top of one ear, over the top of your head, to the top of the other ear. this tells you if the cap will actually sit right or just float on top like a pancake.

write both down before you forget.

somewhere in between? go up. a slightly loose fit beats a headache on a 14-hour shoot day. the chart below is just an indication. i sometimes wear size medium, which is a slightly different vibe. the circumference is large enough on the cap, it just sits slightly higher on the head.

size circumference (cm) circumference (inch) ear to ear (cm) ear to ear (inch)
M 56 – 60 22.0 - 23.6
32 – 33 12.6 - 13.0
L 58 – 63 22.8 - 24.8
