care instructions
no machine wash. ever.
caps hold their shape because they're built to. don't undo that with a spin cycle.
hand wash is fine.
cold or lukewarm water, mild detergent. submerge it, gently work the soap through, rinse it out. press out the water (don't wring). reshape on a clean towel, let it air dry. takes a day, looks like new.
day-to-day.
spot clean with a damp cloth and a tiny bit of mild soap. press, don't scrub.
what not to do.
no machine wash. no tumble dry. no iron. no bleach. no hanging it wet (it'll deform).
stains.
treat with cold water and mild soap, gently. don't scrub the embroidery or the brim. patience beats pressure.
storage.
on a flat surface, on a hat rack, or on your head. don't crush it under other stuff in a drawer. caps remember.
